Remote sign at ZAPAZ - Medicines Verification Institute Slovenia

Working groups that involve representatives from different EU member states produce various forms of business documentation. Sending and exchanging documents with different organizations (institutes) in other countries used to be practiced in paper form up until the middle of 2017 when Medicines Verification Institute Slovenia invited other European participants to use BetrSign® Remote Sign.

Representatives of Medicines Verification Institutes from other European countries started to use remote sign based on SETCCE electronic identities to sign contracts, other agreements and all of the accompanying documents related to the ongoing projects. Security and regulatory compliance are of crucial importance in the pharmaceutical industry which is why Medicines Verification Institute Slovenia chose to link the signature with a unique signer by using authorized e-identities with whom they sign legally binding documents. By using BetrSign® Remote Sign service, Medicines Verification Institute Slovenia obtained a positive audit report and permission by its umbrella organization - European Medicines Verification Organisation (EMVO), to establish a system for verifying the authenticity of medicines.
