STORK2 (Secure Identity Across Borders Linked 2.0) project will enable to move a step forward towards the creation of a fully operational framework and infrastructure for electronic identities and authentication on the EU level. The initiative will contribute to the realization of a single European electronic identification and authentication area. It does so by building on the results of STORK project, establishing interoperability of different approaches at national and EU level, eID for persons, eID for legal entities and the facility to mandate.
The pilots attempted within STORK 2.0 initiative will explore possible ways to address in real-life settings within major economic sectors and the potential to generate welfare, a federated and trustworthy framework for cross-border eID services at European level. Their intent is to provide a basis to facilitate borderless digital living and mobility in the EU, enhancing the Digital Single Market for public and commercial services.
SETCCE is contributing to Banking Pilot that will enable services provided by banks and other stakeholders to reuse STORK2 infrastructure yielding in new business opportunities. Within the STORK2 banking pilot SETCCE is leading the eID based cross-border e-invoicing pilot and is implementing cross border e-invoicing pilot involving Slovenian banks and banks from other EU countries.
